The Acquisitions Department is subscribing to OCLC´s WorldCat Selection Service which will streamline the selection and ordering process for approval notification slips. Collection managers will be able to view their notification slips from multiple vendors and to select items for ordering. The Order Unit will export the selected items into Millennium Acquisitions and send electronic purchase orders to the respective vendors.
As of February 11, 2009, orders have been successfully placed with our foreign vendors Otto Harrassowitz and Jean Touzot Librairie Internationale. Selections from Casalini Libri will soon be available and other vendors are under consideration.
