The Social Justice
Committee helps the community to be aware of our responsibility
to seek justice, and provides opportunities for involvement in a
variety of outreach efforts.
Storefront
The first Sunday of each month we provide a meal for a dozen homeless teens. You can help by preparing a main dish, salad, or dessert and delivering it to the church by 7:00 p.m. on that Sunday. Or, come along to take the food to the shelter and spend time with the teens! The .delivery team. is back by 8:45 p.m. For more info contact Rob Tong at rltong@ucsd.edu.
St. Vincent de Paul
Serve a meal to the homeless and take a tour of one of the most successful shelters in the country. We meet two or three times a quarter so watch the bulletin for dates and carpool information. For more info, call sagibson@ucsd.edu.

Become an advocate for social justice by writing to your representative or senator on important issues. Watch for information in the bulletin. Get prepared for the upcoming election by registering to vote and reading up on the issues!
Christmas Giving Tree
Watch for a flyer about three special opportunities to help those in need during the holidays: SANDAPP Christmas Party for pregnant and parenting teens, collection of gifts for adopted families, and Epiphany celebration in Tijuana on January 9.
Tijuana Housebuilding Project 2005
Mark your calendars now if you.re interested in joining our housebuilding team in the spring. We.re scheduled for May 13-15, 2005. Registration forms will be available in February. Come read to the children at the SDCC on Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. SDCC is an accredited non-profit organization that offers therapy and education to children and youth at risk and children with emotional, behavioral, and/or learning problems.
