Diego is a 2 hour drive from LAX, or you could take a 3 hour train ride.

recommend you fly as it is a very boring drive, 4 hours. Many of us take Southwest

Cambria
is a 3.5 hour drive, San Simeon is another 15 minutes north. A click on this

Carmel
& Monterey are 4.5 hours north if you go on 101. If you take highway 1,
you get a scenic route up through Big Sur, but you add a minimum of two hours
to the trip (worth it)

up 101. We recommend flying!
