Arrival by Car

The Wilshire Grand Hotel, 930 Wilshire Blvd., takes up an entire city block bounded by Wilshire Blvd. on the north, Figueroa St. on the east, 7^th Street on the south, and Francisco St. on the west. From Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

Take Sepulveda Blvd. to 105 (Century) Fwy East; to 110 (Harbor) Fwy North; exit at 9th Street; turn right on 9th St. to Figueroa Street; turn left on Figueroa Street. Proceed two blocks north to hotel. Turn left on 7^th Street and right on Francisco.

From Burbank Airport (5 Fwy Southbound)

Take the 5 (Golden State) Fwy South; to 110 (Harbor) Fwy South (stay toward the right on Harbor Fwy); exit at Wilshire Blvd. Turn left on Wilshire Blvd. and right on Francisco.

From Santa Ana (5 Fwy Northbound)

Take the 5 (Santa Ana) Fwy North; to 101 (Hollywood) Fwy North to the 110 (Harbor) Fwy South; (stay towards right on the Harbor Fwy); exit at Wilshire Blvd. Turn left on Wilshire Blvd. and right on Francisco.

From Santa Monica (10 Fwy Eastbound)

Take the 10 (Santa Monica) Fwy East to the 110 (Harbor) Fwy North; exit at 9th Street. Turn right on 9th Street to Figueroa Street. Proceed two blocks north to hotel. Turn left on 7^th Street and right on Francisco.

From 110 Fwy Northbound

Take 110 (Harbor) Fwy North; Exit on 9th Street; turn right on 9th Street to Figueroa Street; turn left on Figueroa Street. Proceed two blocks north to hotel. Turn left on 7^th Street and right on Francisco.

From 110 Fwy Southbound

Take 110 (Harbor) Fwy South (stay towards right on the Harbor Fwy); exit at Wilshire Blvd. Turn left on Wilshire Blvd. and right on Francisco.

From Hollywood (101 Fwy Southbound)

Take the 101 (Hollywood) Fwy South to 110 (Harbor) Fwy South (stay towards right on the Harbor Fwy); exit at Wilshire Blvd. Turn left on Wilshire Blvd. and right on Francisco.

From San Diego (405 Fwy Northbound)

Take 405 (San Diego) Fwy North to 110 (Harbor) Fwy North; exit at 9^th Street; turn right on 9th Street to Figueroa Street; turn left on Figueroa Street. Proceed two blocks north to hotel. Turn left on 7^th Street and right on Francisco.

From Pomona (60 Fwy Westbound)

Take 60 (Pomona) Fwy West to 101 (Hollywood) Fwy North to the 110 (Harbor) Fwy South (stay towards right on the Harbor Fwy); Exit at Wilshire Blvd. Turn left on Wilshire Blvd. and right on Francisco.

From Artesia (91 Fwy East & Westbound)

Take 91 (Artesia) Fwy to 110 (Harbor) Fwy North; exit at 9th Street; turn right on 9th Street to Figueroa Street; Turn left on Figueroa Street. Proceed two blocks north to hotel. Turn left on 7^th Street and right on Francisco.

From San Bernardino (10 Fwy Westbound)

Take 10 (San Bernardino) Fwy West to 101 (Hollywood) Fwy North to 110 (Harbor) Fwy South; exit at Wilshire Blvd. Turn left on Wilshire Blvd. and right on Francisco.

From 405 Fwy Southbound

Take 405 (San Diego) Fwy South to 10 (Santa Monica) Fwy East; to 110 (Harbor) Fwy North; exit at 9th Street. Turn right on 9th Street to Figueroa Street. Turn left on Figueroa Street. Proceed two blocks north to hotel. Turn left on 7^th Street and right on Francisco.

From 605 Fwy Northbound

Take 605 Fwy North to 60 (Pomona) Fwy West; to 101 (Hollywood) Fwy North to 110 (Harbor) Fwy South; exit at Wilshire Blvd. Turn left on Wilshire Blvd. and right on Francisco.

From 605 Fwy Southbound

Take 605 Fwy South to 60 (Pomona) Fwy West; to 101 (Hollywood) Fwy North; to

110 (Harbor) Fwy South; exit at Wilshire Blvd. Turn left on Wilshire Blvd. and right on Francisco.

Arrival by Train

Amtrak passenger trains arrive at Union Station, located at 800 N. Alameda St., approximately 15 blocks from the hotel. Taxis are available at the Station to take you to the hotel for about $5.00. If you don’t have a lot of luggage, the Metro Rail Red Line (the subway) will take you from Union Station to the 7^th Street/Metro Center stop directly across from the Wilshire Grand hotel for $1.35. When you get off the subway, take an escalator to the Figueroa Street exit and cross the street to the hotel. Downtown DASH buses (25 cents) also stop at Union Station, but you need to transfer from the "D" route to the "A" route to get to the hotel.

Arrival by Air

Los Angeles International Airport

The Wilshire Grand is 17 miles from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). If you are renting a car and driving from the airport, follow the preceding directions under "Arrival by Car." The best mode of transportation is to board a Super Shuttle or share a taxi to the hotel. Super Shuttle pick-up locations are located at the center islands outside each baggage claim area. Super Shuttle is available for transportation to and from LAX at $12 each way for the first person and $10 for each additional person. Taxi service to LAX is $24 each way, with a $2.50 surcharge from the airport to the hotel. The Airport Bus is also available for $8 for adults and $4 for children with daily regularly scheduled service to and from LAX.

Burbank Airport

An alternative to LAX is Burbank Airport, 13 miles north of downtown LA. If you are renting a car and driving from the airport, follow the preceding directions under "Arrival by Car." Served by six major airlines, commuter flights from points along the West Coast and the Southwest are more frequent here than transcontinental flights. If you pack light, you can now take a Metrolink train from the Burbank Airport to Union Station for $5.00 during "peak commute" hours and $3.75 during "off-peak" hours. Your Metrolink ticket may be used at Union Station to transfer free of charge to the Red Line subway, which will take you to the 7^th Street/Metro Center stop directly across from the hotel. When you get off the subway, take an escalator to the Figueroa Street exit and cross the street to the hotel. If you’d rather leave this adventure for another day, catch the Super Shuttle ($18.50 each way for the first person and $9.50 for each additional person) or a taxi ($25-$30) to downtown.

 

Airline and Car Rental Discounts
