EXECUTIVE BOARD'S
BASKET
FOR SILENT AUCTION
- A photograph
of the Executive Board in a decidedly "L.A. kinda mood" * not a
pretty sight, but DEFINITELY something to remember us by!
- Miniature boxing
gloves * used to resolve those "miniature" disagreements at Board
meetings
- Carole Goldsmith
(Canadian Rep) * West coast style relaxation massage oil and a mood enhancing
CD for easing on down after a late night Board meeting
- Leslie Abrams
(West Regional Rep) * California wine (need we say more?)
- Debbie Kempe
(Northeast Regional Rep) * Illy coffee (used to keep the Board awake during
By-Laws discussions) and some hand cream (useful for developing the thick
skin that is a prerequisite to surviving on the Board)
- Ted Goodman
(Vice President/President-Elect) * Food items from Zabar's or Balducci's for
nourishing the body while the mind quickly atrophies due to the pressures
of Board meetings
- Trudy Jacoby
(Treasurer) * Set of Dansk silver plate napkin rings to hold the elegant napkins
needed when Board members are reduced to drooling idiots from too many Board
decisions
- Lou Adrean
(Midwest Regional Rep) * Cleveland Museum of Art publications (after all,
we ARE art librarians)
- Pat Lynagh
(South Regional Rep) * a Smithsonian Institution mug (for coffee laced with
Laudanum) used specifically to keep Pat OUT of the "institution"
while on the Board
- Peter Blank
(Secretary) * the Board's old Mac laptop (still operational and still smokin')
- Karen McKenzie
(President) * chocolate-covered coffee beans for that double caffeine hit
while working nights and week-ends to catch up on Board business, and a stress-buster
toy to prevent UNNECESSARY homicides
- Kathryn Wayne
(Past President) * a bottle of hair color . . . for new Board members who
wake up the next morning after their first meeting to discover that their
hair has gone completely white overnight
